I am a researcher with interdisciplinary training and experience. I employ molecular biology, gene editing, ribosome footprinting, genetics, biochemistry, genomics, plant physiology and cell biology in Arabidopsis, tomato, citrus, strawberry, sweet potato and birch to unravel the core aspects of the signal integration process.

My research bridges basic plant molecular biology focused on the study of hormonal and gene regulatory networks involved in the plant’s response to the environment with applied approaches in crop science aiming to enable the rational improvement of new, more resilient crop varieties with the help of innovative techniques such as synthetic biology and gene editing approaches.
